A Proven Businessman.
Not a Career Politician.
Perry Parker lives in Seminary, Mississippi just across the Bouie River, about 12 miles from where he was born. His family has deep roots in Covington County and in District 3. After completing grade school at Sumrall Attendance Center, Perry received his MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, B.S. in Finance, cum laude, from the University of Southern Mississippi, and A.B.A. from Pearl River Junior College. Although his career in finance took him all over the world, he always called Mississippi home. Perry and his brother now manage their cattle farm in Seminary, MS. Along with a group of Hattiesburg area businessmen, Perry helped start TheFirst, A National Banking Association, and currently serves as Director Emeritus.
Perry and Ida, his wife of 30 years, have two sons, Beau and Harry. Now that Beau and Harry are no longer in need of him as their youth baseball coach, Perry has moved on to helping others achieve their educational dreams. He serves young students through several public and private school initiatives, such as his work on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Covington County, Mississippi. In 2018 he ran to represent Mississippi’s 3rd U.S. Congressional District, successfully changing the conversation and priorities of the crowded field of candidates to the economy and rural Mississippi. Perry and Ida are not looking to find another career, but are looking to serve our great state of Mississippi.
